The 2019-20 school year kicked off on August 7th for students attending Breathitt County High School. Smiles abounded and the hallways were filled with sounds of chatter and laughter as students reconnected with both their friends and teachers.
To start the day, students should have received numerous forms which parents/guardians need to look over carefully, fill out, and return to school by Monday, August 12th. Please note that each form has a specific purpose and must be on file before students can be signed out for appointments, receive a chrome book, be granted internet use, etc. All documents should be returned to the 1st period teacher from whom they were received.
When the final bell rang, students could be heard sharing the events of their day with friends while racing toward the buses that would carry them home for the evening. Although the day may have started with some feelings of nervousness and/or anxiety, students appeared more relaxed and at ease as they exited the building. The general consensus appeared to be one of enthusiasm and positivity which for teachers equals the conclusion of a successful day!!
