KPREP Schedule and AWARDS

On Feb. 22, 2021, the U.S. Department of Education (USED) confirmed its expectation that states would administer federally required testing for the 2020-2021 school year.

Therefore, the KDE's Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) is planning and preparing for the in-person administration of the Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress (K-PREP) and other state assessments.

Considering the COVID-19 crisis, the most important reasons for administering state assessments this spring are to gain a clearer picture of the pandemic's impact on student learning and to prevent disruption of opportunities for students.

KPREP testing will begin for In Person students on Monday, April 26th and continue through Friday, May 30thth.  Virtual students will be asked to come in to school to take the test during the week of May 3rd – 7th. The following table shows what the tests for each grade level:
